Ken Brown
Ken Brown was born in Birmingham and studied illustration at Birmingham Art College. He moved to London to work in advertising. This was followed for a time, as a graphic designer for the BBC. From this he went on to join a production company to direct
T.V. commercials. He formed his own production company specialising in computer graphics, animation and live action, producing commercials for the UK and Europe.
Ken is married to Ruth Brown, the well-known children’s illustrator. They have two sons and live in Bath.
Ken has written and illustrated titles that have been shortlisted for Awards including A Flea in the Ear, and
Tattybogle. He also illustrated the cover and line drawings of The Earth Giant by Melvin Burgess and Project Kite by Sian Lewis.
