Susan Gates
Susan loves writing funny books, though she says writing humour is a tricky
and complex business.
Susan became a teacher before she followed her ambition and embarked on a
careers as a writer. If she hadn’t been a writer, she says she’d like to think
she would be a rock guitarist.
Double winner of the Sheffield Children’s Book Award and short-listed for both
the Carnegie and Guardian Fiction Prize, Susan lives with her family in County
Durham.
