Debi Gliori
Debi is half-Italian and half-Scottish. She went to a convent school and
wanted to be an astrophysicist. As an only child she spent her school holidays
reading, drawing and dressing up. She has four children, and lives in the
country not far from Edinburgh.
Debi has been shortlisted two years running by Sheffield Children’s Book Award for her picture books, last year for Polar Bolero and in 2000 for No Matter What.
She has written and illustrated several books for younger children. Pure Dead Magic is her first novel.
