Alan MacDonald
Alan MacDonald was born in
Hertfordshire. He now lives in Nottingham with his family. After university in
North Wales he joined a travelling theatre company and performed in schools
and arts centres all over Britain and Ireland. From acting he moved on to
writing plays and became a professional writer in 1989. Since then he has
written a wide variety of picture books, stories and non-fiction titles. Alan
also writes for television, including the popular BBC series Tweenies
