Catherine MacPhail
Catherine always wanted to
be a writer. It was only after her children were born that she joined a local
Writers Club and was given the confidence and encouragement to begin
approaching publishers. She wrote two romantic novels for adults before
writing for children. She was moved into writing Run, Zan, Run after her
daughter experienced bullying. This outstanding book went on to win the
Kathleen Fidler Award for new Scottish writing.
Catherine feels the more you
read the better writer you will become. She usually works on several books at a
time with a target of writing a chapter a day.
